Genesis is the first high-rise Life Science campus in the Bay Area featuring an assortment of Class A amenities. The amenities bring synergy to the thriving ecosystem that will accommodate its Life Science tenants. South San Francisco is one of the world’s top biotech clusters and these featured amenities will cater to the Genesis campus and its surrounding Life Science neighbors.
The Bay Area has an eclectic assortment of well-respected artists that are featured in galleries throughout the Peninsula. Genesis will provide a new destination to showcase local artists and their work. The featured tunnels, providing access to the North Tower and South Tower, will host a rotation of artwork throughout the year. In addition, the lobbies of the North Tower, South Tower and Amenity Building will also feature selected works of art.
The first floor of the 21-story North Tower building will house Conference Center, equipped with executive board rooms and conference rooms that tenants can reserve and utilize on a first come first served basis, free of charge. The assorted conference rooms will be equipped with presentation tools including projectors, flat screens, free Wi-Fi, video and teleconference connections and more.
Genesis’ ±5,600 square foot Fitness Center, currently located in the South Tower, has a great combination of cardio, weight and High Intensity Training (HIT) equipment to accommodate each individual’s workout routine. The ±1,500 square foot Yoga Studio is beautifully lit with natural light, full length mirrors and an interactive flat screen for yoga sessions. This Fitness Center provides an excellent atmosphere for workouts and to accomplish personal fitness goals and is accessible from 5 AM – 10 PM , making it easy for employees to utilize the facility and equipment before, during or after work.
Upon the completion of the Amenity Building, the current Fitness Center will be converted to additional amenity space for tenants such as a café & wine bar that opens onto the patio lounge or additional conference rooms.
Upon the completion of the North Tower, the new Fitness Center will be relocated to the 2nd floor of the North Tower. The new Fitness Center will be a state-of-the-art center with wellness coaches, nutritionists and onsite trainers that will provide services to tenants. The fitness organized programs will provide structure and guidance to individuals that are looking to continue a happy, healthy life.
A high-end restaurant is planned to occupy a portion of the retail space in the Amenity Building. The restaurant will have a trendy, upscale vibe with an acclaimed menu for guests. The restaurant will be open to the public and tenants to host dinner meetings, private events and more.
The South Tower at Genesis houses Focaccia Market & Bakery, a family-owned business that began at their Sacramento street store and has now expanded to multiple locations throughout San Francisco and the Bay area. They offer an extensive menu serving breakfast favorites, lunches from burgers to delectable gourmet sandwiches, a wide array of unique salads, and freshly made hot food entrées. They bake their own breads daily, as well as pastries and desserts to please every palate. Focaccia also supports local growers and producers that share their vision of quality products which are sustainably grown and produced. Focaccia Market & Bakery offers catering and event services for all occasions onsite at Genesis.
Situated behind the South Tower sits a 7-story parking structure with approximately 2,000 parking spaces – 3.2/1,000rsf parking ratio. The Genesis parking garage also features ample Level 2 electric vehicle charging stations. The two entrance/exit points in the structure allow for smooth traffic flow through the campus.
A beautiful outdoor patio/lounge area is planned on the second floor of the South Tower. This elevated patio will overlook the picturesque bay-front view and South San Francisco’s biotech cluster. Furnished with upscale lounge furniture, fire pits to create a comfortable ambiance and umbrellas to provide shaded areas, this outdoor space will be an oasis for employees to break away from their typical work space.
The PAC is a unique amenity to Genesis and to South San Francisco with its large capacity allotment. The 230-person Performing Arts Center (PAC) located in the South Tower is available to tenants for use by easily reserving through our on-site property management team. The ability to arrange the space in theater style, classroom style, or a variety of other ways allows for great flexibility. On-site restaurants at Genesis allow for convenient catering for office events and on-site meetings. This space creates an opportunity for large groups to meet in a common and collaborative area at the project outside of their typical suite for progressive thinking.
Genesis is equipped with transportation services that run to the top 3 public transit lines during the mornings and evenings. Accommodating our tenants with this service provides more efficient transportation throughout the Bay Area and contributes to a healthier environment.
